For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the yearsof thy life shall be increased - Proverbs 9: 11(KJV)

With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation - Psalm 91:16(KJV)

What is a Covenant?

A covenant is an agreement between two or more people in which each person has a part to fulfil. In religion, a covenant is an agreement made by God with an individual or a religious community. That is, an agreement between God and man.

God has a Covenant of Long Life in plan for His beloved. Long life is more than “longevity” which is simply a tendency to live long in terms of biological age. Many examples of longevity are merely “long existence” and not "long life". Only God can grant long life characterized by satisfaction and salvation; not “long existence” that becomes a liability to others. Psalm 92:12-14 restates the covenant: "The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing."

To flourish like the Palm Tree means to be useful to yourself and others all through your life-time... to fulfil divine purpose.

To grow like a Cedar means to live long and be strong. Cedars are extremely long-lived, and grow 24 to 30 metres tall and 12 metres around the trunk, symbolizing the ideas of majesty, durableness, incorruptibility and stability. The Covenant of longevity cancels premature death.

This covenant is our insurance against accidents, calamities, sickness, spiritual attacks and all other forms of attacks on our lives and health.

In a covenant both parties have parts to play. God is ever faithful and never fails in keeping to His part of this covenant but man being human may or may not keep to his/her part of the covenant.

The conditions to be met before we can enjoy this covenant include:

  • Being born again
  • Walk in all God's ways - Obey all God's commandments:- These include engaging in Kingdom stewardship, Kigdom giving, Soul-winning

Sin is a major hinderance to enjoying this covenant of Long life. Anywhere sin reigns death is empowered. Sin weakens the spiritual immune system. Sin steals boldness & authority in prayer! Sin allows demons to build alliances with natural pathogens, thereby establishing a stronghold in small diseases.

God will be changing your story for good in the course of this service. God will be putting a seal of longevity on all in attendance in this service via the Holy Communion, putting an end to all sickness/diseases in your life and causing you to enjoy a divinely fufilled life.

Long life is our heritage in redemption (Isa. 65:20-24). It is also our reward from kingdom advancement stewardship (Exo. 23:25-26). And as we keep following the Shepherd, He renders the enemy of our soul helpless (Psa. 23:1-6). Expect to return with the keys to a good old age in your hand in this service. Everyone appointed to death by the wicked shall be rescued supernaturally. Invite all your new converts, family and to this feast of life.

Remain ever blessed!!
