Divine Protection is the act of supernaturally shielding someone from harm, injury or danger. It is God's way of defending or shielding man from every form of evil; it is supreme and absolutely dependable. Divine protection is your covenant right if you are born again; it is one of the packages of redemption in Christ.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day. Psalm 91:1-16 (KJV)

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 2Thessalonians 3:3 (KJV).

COVENANT DAY OF DIVINE PROTECTION

Protection is any measure taken to guard a thing against damage caused by outside forces.

One of the God’s covenants to His children is that He will protect us. One of the things God does for His children is to protect them. God’s assurance to you is that no evil will befall you. Isaiah 43:1-4 “But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou [art] mine……… Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.”

God is only bound by the people He has covenant with. God is for all, but He will not force anybody to accept Him. When He created us, He gave us free will to make our choices in life. If you are for Him, there is a covenant of protection over you.

David experienced many terrible threats to his life per second, but God preserved him through them all. The only defence that is reliable is God, only Him can defend you day and night. David, out of his many terrible experiences came out with testimonies; you will come out from your terrible experiences with testimonies in Jesus name.

Isaiah 54:17: No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.

Isaiah 41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 2 Timothy 4:18: The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Life is a gift from God to man and if it is a gift, it must be preserved. Many pursue things without taking care of their lives. The most miserable thing a believer can do is to be ignorant about protection.

In this last days, wickedness will increase but in the mist of all these evil, God will exempt His own and you are one of them. It is God’s will that no evil befalls you but there are certain covenant requirements you must meet to enjoy divine protection. The first is that you must be born again. Until you are saved, you are not safe. The dwelling in the secret place is dwelling in Christ.

WAYS TO ENJOY GOD’S COVENANT OF PROTECTION

  1. His presence guarantees your protection. Psalms 91:1, it reads “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” When you dwell in His presence, you will be preserved from all evils. God’s presence will guarantee your divine protection. This year nothing will take you out of His presence in the name of Jesus. Deuteronomy 32:9-11 “But the LORD’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage. He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; he encircled him, he cared for him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions,”
  2. God’s name guarantees your protection. Proverbs 18:10, it reads,  “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.”
  3. The blood of the lamb. Exodus 12:22-23, “Take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and touch the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning. For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you.”

WHAT YOU MUST DO TO ENJOY GOD’S COVENANT OF PROTECTION

  1. You must do away with SIN Isaiah 59:1-2, “Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.”
  2. You must receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
  3. Prayer.
  4. Obedience. Isaiah 1:19, it reads, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;” Obedience can deliver us from many hours of fasting and prayer.
  5. Be vigilant. 1Peter 5:8, it reads, “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving is the expression of gratitude, especially to almighty God. One of the great commandments is to give thanks to God, for all he has done for us. According to Psalm 100:4, we are to “enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his Courts with praise; be thankful unto him, and bless his name”.

It is also giving thanks to God for many blessings which should not be limited to only good times but also bad times thereby giving us the opportunity to demonstrate our faith in God.

Thanksgiving is a very important subject in the Bible. There are numerous scriptures on thanksgiving in both the Old Testament and in the New Testament.

The Book of Psalm in particular is full of such verses.

  •  Psalm 95: 2 says, “Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms”
  • Psalm 107: 21-22 says, “Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing”

The New Testament also contains similar verses on thanksgiving such as:

  • Colossians 4: 2 enjoins believers to “continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving”
  • Ephesians 5: 20 says to give thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

BENEFITS OF THANKSGIVING:

  • God sees you as a grateful person

So Jesus answered and said, ‘Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?

Luke 17:17-18 (NKJV)

  • It gives you access into God’s presence.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations

Psalm 100:4-5 (NKJV)

  • You please God.

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you

1 Thess 5:18 (NKJV)

  •  It ignites joy in you and creates an atmosphere for the supernatural.

The LORD is my strength, my shield from every danger. I trust in him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

Ps 28:7 (NLT)

  • It positions you for more blessing.

Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. Their children also shall be as before, and their congregation shall be established before Me; and I will punish all who oppress them.

Jer 30:19-20 (NKJV)

  • Thanksgiving magnifies the blessings of the Lord in our lives.
  • Thanksgiving is a unique way of witnessing to those around us that our God is dependable.
  • It is right to give thanks to God - Psalm 92:1
  • It keeps our lives clear of darkness, anxiety and sin
  • It draws us closer to God
  • It unlocks many doors
  • Whenever thanksgiving goes up, showers of blessings automatically comes down

As we give thanks to God in these services, God will be placing a seal over the blessings He has bestowed upon us in the month of March. The power of God in these services will be ushering you into your realms of all round protection. Every oppression over your life shall be finally terminated! Come expecting the reality of that your long-awaited testimony/testimonies as you encounter the divine power of God in the course of this services.

We are all admonished to reach out to the unsaved and encourage them to come along with you and your family for this life-changing encounter.
