What do we mean when we say "Open Heven"?

An open Heaven can be described as an unhindered manifestation in the earth of all that Heaven is, of God’s own presence and glory. Natural laws are temporarily or permanently suspended as Heaven breaks in. Signs and wonders, miracles and healings, revelations and unusual manifestations of power begin to occur. Poverty, sickness, diseases, and all negativity are driven back by the divine power of God.

When Heavens is open, we have free access to everything in the Heavenly realms, a free flowing of Gods abundant graces and power.

Every Christian prays and wishes for open Heaven. Just being a Christian or a Church-goer does not qualify one to have open Heaven. Your Heaven as a Christian can only open when you have the right key/s. Some of the keys to causing Heaven to open include:

Consistent, persevering prayer:

As simple as it sounds, any time you pray unto God in the name of Jesus in faith, the windows of Heaven will open for you and rain down whatever you have asked for.

...The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. 17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened.

Diligent obedience to the Word of God:

The promise of open heavens is conditional: "The Lord will open the heavens… if you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God…"

"Pay attention" means more than just knowing the commandment of God, it means obeying these commandments.

12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left,following other gods and serving them.

Sacrificial giving/Kingdom giving:

10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.

In these service, God will be opening up the Heaven to all in attendance and the abundant blessings of Heaven will be realeased on all. Come with an expectant heart and test God, and see if He will not deliver to you you long awaited testimonies.
