A FRESH START!!!

We welcome this new month of November 2018 as we give thanks to God Almighty for His saving grace and for His mercy. Many can testify that we have come through great trials, hardships, pain, loss, grief, sadness and so much more, but through it all we say thank you Lord for the preservation of our lives. We will be commiting the month of November into God's hands and giving him thanks in praise, worship and dance for all He will be doing in the course of the month.

Jesus Christ is the Alpha. That means He is the Beginning. Being the Beginning, He can give you a fresh start where you thought all hope was lost. He can also help you start something new or take on new challenges. Another implication of being the Beginning is that He knows everything that is about to start, and therefore ensures no new evil comes to you.

He has control over every new thing – good or bad. He watches the hearts and discussions of men and spirits to know if there is any plan against His children. Job 5:12 says, “He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise”. Whenever the wicked gather, He is present.

He knows all their thoughts and plans. And when He finds out that the new plan is against His own, He will frustrate the plan or the planners. Every fresh device of the enemy against you shall be disappointed this season in Jesus’ Name.

The God of Heaven; the One Who began the beginning, the One Who Exodus 3:14 calls the "I AM THAT I AM"; the One Who spoke light into existence (Genesis 1:3), the One Who has the verdict of life, the One Who has all powers says "Remember ye not the old things...". There might have been failures in your past, things that you found difficult to do, or there might have been pain and sorrows; however, God is saying that you should not remember these things. Why? Because, He said "I will do a New Thing." God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19, Titus 1:2). If God says He will do a new thing, there are certain things that you must consider. They are: Preparation, Picturization and Procedure/Process.

1. Preparation: How do you prepare for the new beginning?

  • You must not allow the failures of yesterday to stop you.

  • Don't allow the success of yesterday put you in the same spot.

  • The faith of yesterday cannot sustain you.

2. Picturization: The Bible in Proverbs 29:18 says that "Where there is no vision, the people perish..."

  • You need to see yourself the way God sees you.

  • You must see your future the way God sees it.

  • You must see impossibility the way God sees it (Luke 1:37, Joshua 5:13-15, 6:1-20).

3. Procedure/Process: You get into the new beginning through the following ways:

  • You can only get into the new beginning by the Word of God (Isaiah 43:19 [NIV], Luke 21:33, Matthew 4:4)

  • You need to read it and meditate on it (Joshua 1:8 [NIV]).

- You must speak the Word of God (Proverbs 18:20-21, Job 6:25, Matthew 12:37)

- You need to pray with the Word of God (Jeremiah 33:3, Matthew 7:7-8, John 14:14, Philippians 4:6-7, Luke 18:1).

Finally, if you are not born-again and nothing has happened in your life, surrender your life to Jesus Christ today and a new beginning will break forth.

On the first day of the month of November, Remember:

  1. God has a plan for your life;  Identify the specific purpose God has for you. Find out how you can be part of the shared purpose God has for all of us as part of the church?  Find one way to connect with the Church that will help you fulfill this purpose.

  2. God walks with us each day: listening, talking and encouraging us. Take time to experience God’s presence with you. Read God’s word and listen to Him in prayer. Accept God’s offer of grace and love.

  3. God gives us power to accomplish his purpose and plan.  Ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit so you can do all you want to do and all that God is asking of you.
